Trevor Battieste is the sole principal of North Texas Property Inspections and its only inspector. When you call, you get him. When the inspection happens, it is him on the roof and in the attic. When the report arrives, he wrote it.

Every inspection starts with a thorough visual examination of the systems and components of the property. The point is to identify the building components that are not performing well, and separately the systems that will need maintenance to keep performing. Those are different findings and they lead to different conversations.
Why the thermal camera is on every job
Trevor is a Level II Thermographer, trained through the network of bodies on the accreditations page rather than by reading the camera’s manual. That is the reason infrared is included at no extra charge instead of sold as an upgrade: when it is an upgrade, it gets declined on exactly the transactions where budgets are tight, and those are often the transactions that most needed it.
It also changes what an inspection can honestly claim to have covered. Without a thermal camera, a wall is a painted surface. With one, it is a surface with a temperature pattern that says something about what is behind it.
A background in projects, not in sales
Before inspections, Trevor spent his career in project management, including as a senior project manager at an aerospace group, and earlier roles at UPS and Texas Tech University. None of that is an inspection credential and it is not offered as one. The licence and the thermography qualification are the credentials.
What the project background does explain is the shape of the commercial reporting. The five year cost breakdown, sequencing useful life and replacement cost across structure, roof, plumbing, electrical and heating and air, is a project manager’s document. A list of defects is a finding. A sequence with costs against it is something a buyer can plan and budget from, and that distinction is the whole reason the commercial work looks the way it does.
